ABOUT GREEN’S GRANOLA

Green’s Granola is my home-based micro bakery in Auchterarder, Perthshire. It all started in the family kitchen and, when things got busier, I converted part of our garage into a kitchen so that I could remain home-based. This is where I take the best Scottish-grown jumbo oats and create truly unique and delicious, homemade and wholesome granola.

The ingredients I use…

Oats

I use pure Scottish jumbo oats, which are naturally wholegrain, high in protein and rich in vitamins and minerals.

Honey and Wholefoods

I source honey, nuts, dried fruit and seeds from Scottish suppliers.

Oil

I source cold pressed rapeseed oil from Summer Harvest®, located just a few miles from here. Their oil is low in saturated fat, a good source of Omega 3 and 100% cold pressed and natural.

Everything I do here is based around a few key guiding principles:

Customers

I aim to serve my customers by making wholesome and delicious cereals using only the best quality ingredients. I try to make it easy for local customers to get their granola by delivering directly to their doors (in postcode areas PH3, PH4 and PH5). In addition to the online shop, customers can also buy directly from me at farmers’ markets and events.

Community

I hope to be able to build a community of followers by sharing recipes, tips and expertise in my blog. I try to source ingredients locally where possible and to use local suppliers for print supplies, etc., in order to support local businesses.

I have a stall at Perth Farmers’ Market, which is a great way to meet local customers and support the local community.

You can also find Green’s Granola in the Rural Enterprise Directory Scotland. Whether you’re looking to buy a unique gift, book some holiday accommodation, find a business consultant or so much more, why not start with REDS.

Environment

I aim to limit my environmental impact by doing the following things, wherever possible:

  • buying local and/or sustainably sourced ingredients

  • using recycled and/or recyclable postal packaging

  • continuing my quest for suitable recyclable granola packaging

  • choosing to work with local suppliers

  • seeking to minimise, reuse and/or recycle waste at all times.

Enjoyment

I enjoy the process of creating wholesome and delicious products starting with a single grain – the humble Scottish jumbo oat – and promoting its versatility. I love exploring new flavour combinations to create seasonal specials and new products to keep things fresh for customers.
